The partnership between handler and corgi is at the heart of success, whether in the ring or in performance sports.
Corgis are at their happiest when they have a job to do.
Whether it’s stepping into the show ring, running an agility course, or simply learning new skills at home, working together builds a special bond between handler and dog. Winning and qualifying are wonderful achievements, but many owners will tell you that their favourite memories come from the runs or classes where it was simply about enjoying the day with their corgi.
Across Australia, corgis and their people can be found in all kinds of arenas — from obedience and rally trials to herding, agility, and conformation shows. Every activity offers a new way to showcase the intelligence, versatility, and spirit of our breeds.
The Welsh Corgi Club of NSW encourages owners to train with patience, positivity, and consistency. Just as importantly, we remind members to keep their corgis fit, conditioned, and healthy, so they can perform at their best and enjoy every step of the journey.
Because at the end of the day, the greatest reward isn’t the ribbon — it’s the partnership you build with your dog.
